The Liechtenstein Postal Museum wasn’t the most fascinating of places we saw while in the small Alpine principality. It was smaller than we expected, but was free, so one can’t really complain!
As you may have guessed, it’s a museum about postage stamps and Liechtenstein’s history through stamps, as well as mail delivery. It comprises rare stamps from Liechtenstein, historical documents, devices, historical postal service equipment, and special exhibits. Since 2006 it has been part of Liechtenstein’s national museum.
It’s not the sort of museum where everything is right there for you- many of the artifacts are in pull-out frames, and everything is in German.
Either way- definitely worth having a look if you’re in Liechtenstein.
