A walk to Vatican City

vatican-city-flagBy far the coldest and windiest morning we’ve had in Rome. After being at the Trevi Fountain, we figured we may as well stay on foot and keep warm by walking to The Vatican.

It was never our intention to make it to any of the attractions there, I just wanted to see it. Getting inside the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican Museums and everything else will happen next time we’re in Rome.

The crowds were horrendous, for really the first time on this trip. There was no way we going to be queuing in that weather with a toddler! I’m extremely glad we hadn’t pre-booked tickets as we’d either have had to line up for an age to get in, or simply waste the tickets.

At least I can add another flag to the list of countries visited 🙂
